A man from Albany accepts guilty plea for drug trafficking

In Albany, New York, a jury recently found 26-year-old Brandon Bartley guilty of drug trafficking and gun crimes. He faces a minimum of 15 years to life in prison for trafficking fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, and possessing over 30 firearms. Bartley confessed to participating in a conspiracy to distribute drugs and admitted that he intended to sell them from his apartment on Western Avenue in Albany. In May 2023, police searched his residence and confiscated 34 firearms, more than 400 grams of fentanyl pills, over 7,000 grams of methamphetamine pills, and more than 700 grams of cocaine. Good Samaritan in south Edmonton attacked while attempting to intervene in hit-and-run incident

On a Friday morning in south Edmonton, the police were called to a strange series of events involving a collision and an assault. Three suspects were involved, one of whom had stab wounds. The incident began after a collision near Scona Road and 94th Avenue between a black Ford Fusion sedan and a black Hyundai Sonata. The driver of the Ford attempted to flee the scene but was blocked by a woman driving a silver Dodge RAM pickup truck. The two women in the suspect vehicle then assaulted the woman in the pickup truck, leading to a self-defense action where the woman stabbed one of the attackers.
