Man from Tennessee taken into custody after reportedly making death threats against store clerk who rejected his marriage proposal

In Lawrence County, Tennessee, a store clerk was put in a frightening and tense situation when an armed man asked her to marry him and made serious threats after she turned him down. The incident occurred at the Bonnertown Store near the Alabama state line, prompting a 911 call from the frightened clerks on Wednesday, May 1. Dustin Brian Burgett, a 26-year-old man from Alabama, was taken into custody by members of the Loretto Police Department without incident.
