Five officers at Wende Correctional Facility in Alden, along with a social worker, were injured in an incident earlier this month when an inmate allegedly attacked and attempted to sexually assault the social worker, authorities reported. The alleged incident occurred on May 1st, with the inmate, aged 30, exposing himself to the social worker before charging at her, grabbing her neck, and causing both of them to fall to the floor. The situation quickly escalated, resulting in injuries to multiple individuals involved. Good Samaritan in south Edmonton attacked while attempting to intervene in hit-and-run incident

On a Friday morning in south Edmonton, the police were called to a strange series of events involving a collision and an assault. Three suspects were involved, one of whom had stab wounds. The incident began after a collision near Scona Road and 94th Avenue between a black Ford Fusion sedan and a black Hyundai Sonata. The driver of the Ford attempted to flee the scene but was blocked by a woman driving a silver Dodge RAM pickup truck. The two women in the suspect vehicle then assaulted the woman in the pickup truck, leading to a self-defense action where the woman stabbed one of the attackers.
