Man from Orange County faces charges of kidnapping and assault

In Ulster County, New York, the Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Stephen Thompson, a New Windsor man, in connection to a domestic violence investigation. Thompson, 34, is facing numerous charges after an incident of alleged physical abuse, property destruction, and holding a woman against her will. The incident was reported to police in March of 2023, leading to Thompson’s indictment by an Ulster County Grand Jury in November of the same year. Following the indictment, it was learned that Thompson had fled New York, only to return to the state on April 25, leading to his arrest in Newburgh. Read the full article here
