Man from Orange County faces charges of kidnapping and assault

In Ulster County, New York, the Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Stephen Thompson, a New Windsor man, in connection to a domestic violence investigation. Thompson, 34, is facing numerous charges after an incident of alleged physical abuse, property destruction, and holding a woman against her will. The incident was reported to police in March of 2023, leading to Thompson’s indictment by an Ulster County Grand Jury in November of the same year.
