Man from Johnstown receives prison sentence for sexually abusing a minor

John Lyman Sr., a 37-year-old resident of Johnstown, was recently sentenced for the predatory sexual assault of a child by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office. This heinous crime resulted in Lyman receiving a sentence of 20 years to life in prison. His actions, which involved sexually assaulting a minor in a parked car on West Montgomery Street on February 18, 2023, led to his guilty plea in March and subsequent sentencing before Judge Michael Smrtic on May 17.
