David DePape receives 30-year sentence for assault on Paul Pelosi

David DePape, the man who broke into former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s San Francisco home and attacked her husband, was sentenced on Friday. DePape, aged 43, entered the couple’s home on Oct. 28, 2022, with the intention of locating Nancy Pelosi. It was revealed during trial testimony that DePape was motivated by right-wing conspiracy theories and admitted to breaking into the Pelosi residence to combat government corruption, hold Speaker Pelosi hostage, and inflict harm if she deceived him.
