JCCPD Officer Faces Multiple Non-Work Related Charges

An officer with the James City County Police Department (JCCPD) in Virginia found himself in hot water after being indicted on several ‘non-work related’ charges, as per a news release from JCCPD. The officer in question, Caleb Crawford, had been serving with the department since August of 2021. The charges brought against him by the Williamsburg/James City County Grand Jury included malicious wounding, child abuse, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The incident came to light on March 26, 2024, when Child Protective Services discovered injuries to a child allegedly caused by Crawford, prompting them to inform JCCPD. Read the full article here
