Albany man sentenced to 25 years to life for 2022 murder

Willie Green, a 41-year-old man from Albany, was recently sentenced to 25 years to life in state prison for committing second-degree murder in 2022. Green, who was considered a persistent felon, was convicted of the murder charges and more by a jury in April. An indictment alleged that on November 10, 2022, Green intentionally caused the death of Hacief Oliver during a concert where the two men were performing. Oliver was shot in the chest and pronounced dead at the scene. The case was prosecuted by Major Crimes Bureau Chief Joseph Brucato and Assistant District Attorney Marissa Olsen.
