Suspected Behavior Health Counselor Pretends to be Deceased to Evade Sex Offender Registration

Pinal County, Arizona, recently made headlines when officials arrested Benjamin Hollins, a convicted sex offender and behavioral health counselor. The arrest came after Hollins allegedly kidnapped and molested one of his minor clients. According to Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb, Hollins had previously been convicted as a sex offender in California over 20 years ago. When he moved to Arizona in 2018, he reportedly failed to register as a sex offender as required by law.
