Virginia Beach's former assistant scoutmaster found guilty of child sexual abuse material case

A former assistant scoutmaster from Virginia Beach, Andrew Harris Reshefsky, recently pleaded guilty to receiving child sexual abuse material, according to reports from the Department of Justice. The Virginia Beach Police Department had initially identified Reshefsky as a distributor and recipient of such material less than a year ago. Following this discovery, on August 17, 2023, VBPD officers executed a search warrant at Reshefsky’s residence, where they found several electronic devices containing numerous videos and images of child sexual abuse material collected over several years.
