Federal authorities look into terror allegations following the arrest of a Lebanese immigrant at the US-Mexico border.

Federal law enforcement officials are investigating after a man was apprehended at the Texas border claiming to be a member of a foreign terrorist organization and stating he came to the US to build a bomb. The individual, identified as Lebanese national Basel Bassel Ebbadi, was detained at the El Paso Border Patrol Sector on March 9 and interviewed by a tactical terrorist response team after making threats to border personnel. Ebbadi allegedly admitted to intending to make a bomb while being checked by medical staff. The individual is currently in US custody, and a federal investigation is ongoing. Good Samaritan in south Edmonton attacked while attempting to intervene in hit-and-run incident

On a Friday morning in south Edmonton, the police were called to a strange series of events involving a collision and an assault. Three suspects were involved, one of whom had stab wounds. The incident began after a collision near Scona Road and 94th Avenue between a black Ford Fusion sedan and a black Hyundai Sonata. The driver of the Ford attempted to flee the scene but was blocked by a woman driving a silver Dodge RAM pickup truck. The two women in the suspect vehicle then assaulted the woman in the pickup truck, leading to a self-defense action where the woman stabbed one of the attackers.
