Customs agents seize over $900,000 worth of cocaine at Pharr International Bridge

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Pharr International Bridge seized nearly $1 million worth of cocaine. The officers flagged a big rig coming from Mexico on March 15 and used non-intrusive inspection equipment and canine screening to discover 50 packages of cocaine hidden in concrete blocks. The drugs weighed 121.87 pounds. Port Director Carlos Rodriguez commended the officers for successfully thwarting the smuggling attempt.
