A male was found shot to death in the middle of a street in Ensley, marking the sixth homicide in Birmingham since Saturday. The victim, only identified as a “young male,” was found lying unresponsive in the roadway and pronounced dead at the scene by Birmingham Fire Rescue Service. Good Samaritan in south Edmonton attacked while attempting to intervene in hit-and-run incident

On a Friday morning in south Edmonton, the police were called to a strange series of events involving a collision and an assault. Three suspects were involved, one of whom had stab wounds. The incident began after a collision near Scona Road and 94th Avenue between a black Ford Fusion sedan and a black Hyundai Sonata. The driver of the Ford attempted to flee the scene but was blocked by a woman driving a silver Dodge RAM pickup truck. The two women in the suspect vehicle then assaulted the woman in the pickup truck, leading to a self-defense action where the woman stabbed one of the attackers.
